Central Demolition is a successful Manawatū based demolition and asbestos removal company founded in 2002 by Ian Butcher. We pride ourselves on being an industry leader in both commercial and residential projects. 


We provide a total solution from removing and disposing of asbestos and other dangerous contaminants to planned deconstructions and remediation works and in conjunction with our sister company Central Environmental we are now recycling construction and demolition waste for reuse thus actively diverting waste from landfill.

Hire a Housewife LTD is a cleaning company based in the Manawatu. We currently employ 30 staff and have 12 vehicle's on the road at any one time. We continuously aim to provide our employee’s with a positive working environment 


We predominantly do Domestic and Industrial Cleaning but also do regular builders cleaning, Gardening, Section clearing, water blasting, house washing, window cleaning and any other household jobs that clients require either regularly or just as one offs. 


Hire a housewife’s main focus is providing clients with a high-quality experience that they will remember in a positive way. We guarantee all our work so clients have the piece of mind that their expectations of work quality will be met.

Te Utanganui

Te Utanganui is a unique multi modal distribution hub being developed in Manawatū, spanning across Palmy and into the wider district. It consists of of rail, road, air, and sea connections and encompasses several infrastructure projects which, when combined, create the primary distribution and transport hub for central New Zealand, and the third node in New Zealand’s national transport and freight network in the heart of the country.

 

Well served by international ports with ambitious expansion and investment plans, Manawatū is home to the only place in New Zealand where road, rail and air transport options are immediately adjacent to each other, and Te Utanganui is the epicentre of this connectivity, with unrivalled road, rail and air freight options clustered together.

 

The project is driven by Palmerston North City and Manawatu District Councils through CEDA, and supported by key partners including Rangitāne o Manawatū who gifted the name to the project.
